Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both of whom were lawyers. In her early years she was enrolled in the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma's dream was to become an actor. When she was 6, she enrolled in the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch in which she was taught classes in acting, singing and dance. She had already performed in several Stagecoach or school shows before she was ten years old. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) was the movie version to J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was cast for first time at the beginning of 1999. Agents for casting found Emma through her Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman announced to Emma that after eight consecutive auditions Emma as well as Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. Emma's first film appearance coincided with the release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2002). The film broke all records in terms of the opening weekend and numbers, and was the top-grossing 2001 film. The film was praised by critics who praised the film, particularly the young performers. The Daily Telegraph in Britain, which is widely distributed the newspaper, described her performance as outstanding. Emma was awarded the Young Artist Award as the Leading Young Actress for an Feature Film. She was later recognized five times in recognition of her part in the film.
