Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, from Mexico was born into an adored family of musicians. The majority of her youth listening to classical music Boleros from the past, ranchero traditional or romantic songs along with old classical pieces. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic shows. Ana began learning and singing the piano with her mom, she began her more intensive training in singing when she was 16 under the renown Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. In Guadalajara she studied at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. Her early professional career was spent performing with various chamber ensembles and opera choruses in Guadalajara. After relocating to the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before shifting to her place in the southern part of California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist with traditional Latin American music at private events. The love she has for the performing arts, music, and the arts keep her involved in local activities both as an artist and educator. Ana has also been previously a member of Community Chorus of Redlands as and the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana appreciates being able to share her passion and enthusiasm for the traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to impart a desire particularly among the younger generation to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
